Design Review Meeting — 33kV Northwest Loop OHTL Phases I & II, Istanbul

A formal Design Review Meeting was held in Istanbul, Turkey, bringing together Basra Oil Company (BOC), Anton Oil Services (AOS), HHC, and Engineering Vision for Construction Development & General Contracting L.L.C-FZ (ECD Vision) to review the engineering design package for the 33kV Overhead Transmission Line — Northwest Loop Phase I & II at Majnoon Oil Field.

The session covered route alignment and tower spotting, foundation and structural design criteria, conductor and insulator specifications, earthing and lightning protection, and switchgear interface with existing field substations. Construction sequencing for both phases, access roads, material logistics, and crane lifting plans were reviewed against the approved project schedule.

HSE requirements, environmental mitigation along the corridor, quality assurance procedures, and factory acceptance / site testing protocols — including insulation resistance, relay settings, and energisation readiness — were agreed with all parties. ECD Vision presented detailed design drawings, BOQ cross-checks, and the commissioning strategy developed under contracts 2024-MJN388 and 2024-MJN405.

Action items, design hold points, and the path to field mobilisation were documented. The meeting confirmed stakeholder alignment ahead of tower erection and conductor stringing — a key milestone in delivering reliable power infrastructure for Majnoon operations.
